Attended Columbia University 1998 - 2004, Undergrad and Masters in Linguistics, before taking time off to 'see the world' via Sangraal before doing more work for her Ph.D. - Languages: Fluent in: English (American), English (Normal), French, Latin, Russian and specializes in the following 'dead' languages: Sumerian, Ancient Greek, Ancient Latin, Old Frankish.
- Misc Skills: She has many skills, having worked through her college years as a data entry operator, sales clerk, florist shop, waitress, receptionist, and more.
- Habits/quirks/personality: She's terribly energetic, talkative (esp when nervous!) and tends to try and make everyone and everything happier. She can't stand to see anyone unhappy or a place that looks untidy or dingy. She's already decorated her office to reflect light, gaiety and laughter, having many inexpensive prints on the wall designed to be motivating and uplifting. She has fresh flowers on her desk and that kind of thing. She's not the most organized of individuals though
she is by no means a slob. She just tends to lose track of things... like her purse, phone, papers she doesn't know what to do with and the like... - She is something of a workaholic and a conversation with her will reveal she doesn't have much life experience - evidently her life revolved around work and school until quite recently and she's ready to take the world by storm. In fact, if she has a bit to drink, she might reveal that she'd tried very hard to get into the CIA - they'd advertised openings for linguistics experts but she was politely declined despite meeting all the requirements...
- What she doesn't know -- Is that Alex pulled in some favors and had them refuse her...
- What she fears -- Unhappiness, poverty, having no family, her brother...
- What she's wrestling with -- She had a dream that involved her brother shooting her from a rooftop with a sniper's rifle in NYC. She remembers events as real leading to her being in that park that day, and does recall she fell off the slide, having a bloody injury on her shoulder... but until just recently, her brother was not a part of that memory and she isn't sure now if he is or isn't.
- What she likes to do for fun -- Almost anything outdoors, sports with a skill factor like archery (not that she's done much of that), rock climbing (hasn't done much of that either), fencing (never did that), riding (never did that either), parasailing (never did that), etc... She's not into seeing movies, going to fancy restaurants (she's terrified of them!), or bars.

Born: January 24, 1968 in St. Petersburg, Florida
- Birth name: Madeleine-Martine Starkovich
Name change in 1986 is legally on record. Very few would know this unless they researched it - she'd never volunteer this. - Nationality: American. Her accent is not identifiable, and she often adopts a French or Southern US accent quite credibly as she grew up immersed with that.
- Parents: Alive, she rarely speaks of them.
- Father: Dimitri Alexi Starkovich, escaped communist Russia back in early 60's and settled down in Dallas, Texas, becoming a US citizen as soon as he could. He made a pile of cash, though Dallas has no idea what he does. Since the fall of Soviet Russia has become very entrepreneurial, taking advantage of all trade programs to his profit.
- Mother: Estelle-Marie Bertrand Laurent Starkovich. French national who met Dimitri in America...it was passion at first sight, but eventually they decided to live separate lives. She is an artist - painter and sculptor with a following and manages to live a comfortable life going from spa to spa all over the world from sales of her work.
- Dallas attended numerous boarding schools (mostly asked not to return the following year) before going off to U Penn to study archeology against her parent's wishes.
- Despite the fact that both parents are wealthy in their own right, they have little to do with Dallas' finances - she's been written out of their wills on numerous occasions. Unfortunately, Dallas often loses sight of the fact she has little of her own money. She grew up in a certain way and often gets in over her head financially speaking - she does have a small stipend that is delivered to her once a year on her birthday - usually just in time to avoid financial embarrassment for the year. But not always in time...
